New Warehouse Units at Whitehall Industrial Estate, Leeds. Old workshops were demolished and a series of new individually designed Workshops / Warehouse Units were developed to maximise the floor areas and building heights for storage purposes etc and then let as part of a property Portfolio. Different Planning Applications and Building Regulation Applications for differing size units were submitted and approved over a period of time as part of a phased redevelopment of old buildings on a well established Industrial Estate in Leeds. The client successfully let the first Warehouse Unit and then went on to develop a block of starter units on the same site with all the necessary Local Authority Approvals and detail drawings and specifications provided by BDT for the client and contractor.
This manufacturer of worktops used to be situated adjacent to the M62 between Leeds and Wakefield. BDT obtained all the necessary Planning Approvals, Building Regulation approvals and working drawings to extend the Manufacturing, Storage premises and also added a Two Storey office block. The company has expanded rapidly and recently moved to new larger premises in Normanton where planning was obtained by BDT for a 55,000 sq ft Factory Extension with all the necessary external plant and a granite storage area ,with overhead crane. Building Design Team worked hand in hand with the Building Contractor throughout this complex project, from the surveying of the site and buildings to the Feasability Study, Planning Application, Building Regulations, working drawing, liaising with the conractor and project management. The company is now in occupation going from strength to strength.
